Race Information

Canada is ready to welcome the luge world in 2025.

The world’s fastest athletes on ice will slide into Whistler, B.C. as Luge Canada will host the 53rd FIL Luge World Championships.

More than 150 athletes, representing more than 25 countries, will battle it out for the title of king and queen of luge in the most prestigious event on the international calendar in a non-Olympic year.  The action-packed event will feature a track full of amazing activities including entertainment, local food options, beer gardens and so much more for the whole family to enjoy!

Be trackside to check out these athletes who will reach speeds up to 130km/hour while sliding down the high-banked corners of the world-renowned Whistler Sliding Centre that snakes down Blackcomb Mountain.

Cheer on Team Canada in our quest to slide onto the World Championship podium!
