New Look Canadian Luge Team Slides into Whistler to Host Eberspächer Luge World Cup and Eberspächer Team Relay World Cup
WHISTLER, B.C.—A new crop of Canadian luge athletes led by three women from the Whistler, B.C. area will
welcome the world to their home track at the Whistler Sliding Centre for the first time in three years while
playing host to the Eberspächer Luge World Cup, December 9-10.
Canada will play host to nearly 100 athletes representing 20 countries at the Whistler Sliding Centre. Athletes
will compete in men’s and women’s singles, and doubles races, along with the action-packed Eberspächer Team Relay World Cup presented by BMW.
Media are invited to attend Canadian squad’s training sessions on December 8 and 9 at 9 a.m.
Interviews will be conducted on the finishing dock, or by phone, at the conclusion of training.

Tickets for the event can be purchased for $10 at the Whistler Sliding Centre gate Children 12 and under are
free.
Whistler Media Accreditation:
ALL media must RSVP to Chris Dornan at uccepuevf@funj.pn in advance of the event to receive media credentials for the World Cup. Media can pick up accreditation in the Media Centre located in Guest Services at the Whistler Sliding Centre.

Access to Whistler Sliding Centre:
Limited media parking will be available. Public will have free access to the WhistlerSliding Centre venue via the Excalibur Gondola.
