Canadian luge and cross-country skiing Olympians returning to Calgary on February 28

WHAT:Fresh off competing in the most successful ever Olympic Games for Canada, a number of local Olympians in the sports of luge and cross-country skiing will make their triumphant return to Calgary from the 2006 Winter Games in Torino, Italy, early in the morning on February 28.

Members of the Canadian Olympic ski jumping and long-track speed skating teams will also be touching down in their home training base of Calgary at the same time.

Media availability for the athletes begins at 1 a.m. at Meeting Place A of the Calgary International Airport. The athletes arriving on that date are listed below.

Please note that Olympic cross-country medallists Beckie Scott, Chandra Crawford and Sara Renner, as well as George Grey and Devon Kershaw, are remaining in Europe to compete in World Cup races, and will not be returning until a later date.
