Olympic Luge Athletes Slide Into Airdrie's Canada Day Parade
-Hometown Olympian Eric Pothier leads Torino luge tea

WHAT:Canada Day festivities will have a special touch in Airdrie, Alta. this summer, with high-performance luge athletes who wore the maple leaf at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games taking part in the annual parade.

Hometown Olympian Eric Pothier, who’s twice represented Canada on the Olympic luge track, will be joined on the Home Hardware float by his luge doubles partner, Grant Albrecht, as well as fellow luge Olympians Ian Cockerline, Regan Lauscher, Meaghan Simister and Alex Gough.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 1.
