Best Ever Results for Jeff Christie at the World Junior Championships

It wasn't the Olympics but Jeff Christie isn't complaining about his results at the Seventeenth Junior World Championships. The Vancouver native, who turns nineteen tomorrow, gave himself an early birthday present, when turned in his best-ever performance at the Junior II level, and finished fourth in the men's event, which was held earlier today.

Calgary's Ian Cocklerline finished 18th, 0.030 seconds ahead of team mate Sam Edney who finished 19th. Current Canadian Junior Champion, Jorgen Krause, injured himself when he hit the wall hard going into the last turn, and finished 25th.

Germany's David Möller, returned from the Viessmann World Cup circuit to capture the gold medal and his second Junior World Championship title. Möller's team mate, Patrick Schurer, took the silver medal while the USA's Jonathan Myles claimed bronze.
